Carole is an experienced embroiderer who is always happy to talk over a problem, give advice and just stop to have a chat. A programme of classes and workshops has already started, and a regular stitch club is being planned. Threadneedles carries the full range of Anchor, DMC and Venus stranded cotton, along with perle cotton No 5, No 8 and No 12, Anchor tapestry wool and Appletons crewel wool. There is also a good selection of the more unusual threads such as Caron, Stef Francis, Anchor Marlitt, soft cotton, coton a Broder, Krienik and Texere variety packs. Our increasing range of kits and charts covers cross-stitch, long stitch, embroidery, hardanger, blackwork, crewel work and more. We are stockists for most major suppliers such as Anchor, DMC, Dimensions, Lavender and Lace, Derwentwater, Janlynn, and Heritage Stitchcraft, as well as some of the smaller designers including One-Off, Travellers Tales and Lifetime Samplers. Our embroidery fabrics include aida, Quaker cloth. Belfast linen, Linda, hardanger, lugana, davosa, Bellana and several counts of tapestry canvas. Alongside these are bibs, teddys and towels with aida inserts for your embroidery. To help complete your work we have coasters, key rings, fridge magnets, blank cards, bell pull ends and aperature boxes. As well as embroidery supplies patchworkers are catered for with a small but growing range of cotton fabrics from Hoffman, Jinny Beyer and RJR. All the extras that are needed for patchwork are in stock including cutting mats, rotary cutters, marking pens, Omnigrids, polyester and cotton wadding. A visit to the shop is well worth while as you will find a selection of products that are not often found together under one roof. The stock varies from the frivolous such as pom-poms, feathers, beads and ribbons, to the necessary such as scissors, zips, buttons and curtain header tape.
